CPR
|
|
The Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course teaches students how to recognize and care for choking, stopped breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.

First Aid
|
|
This is an introductory course that teaches individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic First Aid care for sudden illness, bleeding, shock, extremes of heat and cold, poisoning, bites and stings, and injuries to bones, joints, and muscles. Safety awareness and accident prevention are emphasized throughout.

AED
|
|
This course introduces students to the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) for the management of cardiac arrest. Topics include: Anatomy and physiology of the heart; arrhythmias; dangers of defibrillation; pad placement; defibrillation protocols; a review of airway management techniques; one rescuer CPR with AED; safety issues, contraindications, and special circumstances. The AED course is designed for persons previously trained in CPR. Classes are formed in response to requests for the class. Contact Steve Cooke at (425) 483-2131 for more information.
